nn nn nn Job Purpose nn nn The Facilities Manager is responsible for providing strategic insight and guidance in support of distribution center projects and oversees the tactical execution of related service provider activities and services.

The Facilities Manager ensures the mechanical and structural systems within the DC is inspected regularly and serviced appropriately through the use of streamlined and efficient resources (internal and external) and through collaboration with DC leadership, to ensure its integrity and usefulness is uninterrupted.

Areas of oversight responsibility include, but may not be limited to, HVAC, refrigeration, fire suppression (ESFR), security and its systems, plumbing, electrical, docks and its systems, facility structure, flooring, and roofing.

nn Key Responsibilities nn The Facilities Manager will be assigned duties, based on organizational needs and priorities.

Manages applicable compliance and regulatory programs as required inclusive of all record-keeping and employee training oversight.

Statutes and regulations include, but may not be limited to, CAA, EPCRA, OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and CWA Provides management and expertise for facility anhydrous ammonia refrigeration systems and its Process Safety Management (PSM) in accordance with 29CFR 1910.119.

May be called out during non-working hours to address system concerns Implements and maintains cost effective preventative maintenance to extend equipment life (e.g.

material handling equipment (MHE)), to maximize life cycle expectancy Maintains and manages relationship with service providers (internal or external) and works to improve measurable performance expectations Manages facility sanitation and maintenance program efforts to meet DC requirements, including the repair of any damage, in addition to the requirements of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Facilitates system upgrades by ensuring frequent and comprehensive communication through all phases, from onset to go-live; cap-ex cost management Monitoring equipment, systems, or infrastructure spend to determine chronic issues or trends and provides recommendations for reparation if appropriate; recommends replacement when costs exceed present value Recommend energy management activities, leading processes for continued improvement of our energy efficiency and reduction in cost to operate Completes supplier review meetings to assess service levels, opportunities for savings, and areas for improvement; recommends contract changes and/or terminations where warranted Emergency Response site leader Perform additional duties as assigned by management nn Qualifications BA/BS degree in related field and 7-10 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience MHE fleet experience Ability to work effectively in a team environment
– fostering a culture of excellence and accountability Excellent planning, organizational, communication skills Ability to effectively organize and handle multiple projects Experience planning budgets and tracking expenses, and performing equipment life-cycle cost analyses Clear understanding of facilities infrastructures, HVAC equipment, security systems, safety regulations, and regulatory requirements (for example, ADA, OSHA, fire suppression systems).
