NGHS also encompasses Northeast Georgia Physicians Group, a multi-specialty group with more than 65 locations, and The Heart Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, a cardiology practice with more than 15 locations.NGHSJob Summary:The Executive Director of Operations, System Support, and Resources is responsible for providing nursing executive leadership for the development, implementation and ongoing management of the healthcare system’s Central Operations Center in partnership and collaboration with the Medical Director and other operational leaders.

The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the management of inpatient bed capacity, patient flow and transitions of care coordination across the healthcare system.

The Executive Director has primary responsibility for supporting the delivery strategy through daily management of functional areas of support including nursing, clinical and ancillary services across the system.

The Executive Director is comfortable in leading change management and promotes culture change among nursing and other clinicians and ancillary staff.

Minimum Job Qualifications:A degree in Nursing (either BSN or MSN) and a Masters degree (either in Nursing or other if possessing a BSN).

Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.

National certification in either a clinical or leadership specialty required within two years of hire.Professional organization membership required within one month of hire into the role.

A minimum of ten years’ experience in professional nursing with seven years in a leadership role having a significant business impact.

Two years recent experience in leading a central command center or equivalent services required.Preferred Requirements:PhD and/or DNP.Officer in local, state and/or national professional organization.Experience working in a dyad relationship with physician leadership.Job Specific and Unique Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Accomplished team-oriented leader with demonstrated achievements in implementing projects in a complex healthcare organization.Possesses strong skills in business and clinical process redesign, written and verbal communication, physician relations and customer satisfaction.Drives strategic alignment within span of control and influence, leading a culture of continuous improvement.

Promotes integration across the system.Must be proficient with use of systems including MS Office, EHR, Finance, HR, data analytics, and have detailed knowledge of Labor Productivity Tools.Essential Tasks and Responsibilities: Performs administrative duties to facilitate department, division, institution and organizational operations including planning Patient Care Services administrative budget, assisting with nursing department budgets, analyzing monthly financials, and working with finance team to address any financial issues.Provides overall administrative leadership and oversight of all the Nursing system administrative/support functions associated with staffing/productivity, scheduling, open shift management, nursing quality improvement, patient placement, patient complaint management, plus other systems in reporting departments.Promotes quality/safe nursing care within the organization.Mentors reporting staff related to financial decisions regarding the daily operations of the assigned departments and by consulting with the Vice President & Chief Nursing Executiveon policy decisions.Develops a ” Customer-centric” service program within the division for all reporting departments.
